The Rover Exploded!!!!!
Today I went to the Washington D.C. Temple with two of the best girls ever! Kalie, and Tzigane, Kalie is the relief society president and Tzigane is a friend and a future missionary :) We started our day eating cereal at Kalie's house. We then took the jeep to her brothers shop to pick up her land rover. We got it and was on our way to the temple. The drive was very smooth and we got to the temple about 10 minutes prior to the 12 o'clock session. We decided to wait and go to the 1 o'clock session. I went in with question that I didn't really want to know an answer to. But it had been bothering me and I knew I needed to find out my answer. Its amazing how you can have any question in the world and when you are inside the temple it is answered. I can't explain the feeling of relief you get when you know your prayers have been answered. When we left the temple we decided to stop for some chick-fil-a. we ended up being navigated to the George Mason Campus and decided we weren't going to go to their chickfila. Kalie stopped for gas and started talking to a random guy who was pumping his gas next to us. He said to her " oh your a mormon" hahah. i guess when your a returned missionary your not scared to talk to random people and bring up the church that quick in conversation. ahaha .Ill be looking forward to that when I come home from my mission. haha. we finally found a chick-fil-a and then we were on our way. we weren't even 30 minutes out that Kalie and I hear a rattle sound coming from under the hood of her land rover. she pointed it out and then called her brother. he said we needed to get off the interstate and let it cool down. we did just that we got off at the next exit. we got in a turn lane to turn into the gas station. the light went red and the jeep SHUT OFF. it was done. wouldn't turn on, I jumped forward and turned her hazards on so that cars would know to go around us. what are the odds that three girls in skirts are stranded in their car in the middle of the road in rush hour traffic. ill tell you we were those girls. the jeep then was SMOKIN!! like not the amount of smoke you get when your grilling on the grill. like start of fire smoke! we sat in the road with the hazards on for a good 10-15 minutes it felt like but was probably like 10 before 4 guys came to the rescue. we were able to get the jeep out of the road and into a safe parking lot. the parking lot was for the marina. we then had this guy who checked a bunch of stuff on the car for us and ended up finding out that the dip stick for oil was BONE DRY!!!! the guy reminded us of a mountain man. he ended up helping us out and we then were told to head over to the KFC across the street because we were in hoodville. 3 girls dressed in skirts in the middle of hoodville= normal sister missionary day, says Kalie. hahah we looked like sister missionaries too!! we ended up waiting two hours for Kalies dad and then we were on our way home.
