Been gone 10 years.... Waited 6 years.. No more waiting

This is my grandma and I a year before she died. at her 80th Birthday Party

What a day! Woke up at 4:00am and pushed the snooze. Mistake! Don't you hate it when you push the snooze when you have to be somewhere at a certain time and you wake up an hour and half late and you miss it? That's what happened this morning to me. I woke up late and today was the day that I do my best friend (grandma) temple work. She would be the first person I am proxy for in the temple aside from baptisms. Mom and I leave an hour late and we hit the road. We stopped for breakfast and I looked at the cards to see who needed what ordinances and I started to ball! I noticed that my mom has done one of my grandmas ordinances a few years ago without telling me. I was heartbroken. Ever since 2007 I was promised her work. It was hard to let it go because of the importance of having that moment with her even though she has passed. My grandma passed away just over 10 years ago and we did her baptism and confirmation in 2007. She has been waiting a LONG time for her work to be done. I have to owe it to the missionary change in age that that is why she didn't have to wait any longer. Anywho. I got over the fact that my mom did the one ordinance and just thought hey I've done the other 5 ordinances. We got to the temple 10 minutes after our stakes scheduled session so mom and I went to the family history center to see who else we could do ordinances for. We got to the temple and all I can say is my grandma was there. There was a time when we were doing the ordinances that I felt her grasp of her hands on my shoulders, her grasp of her hands holding my face and kissing my head. She was there!!!! I can't express how good it feels to know that when you do your own family names in the temple that they are there with you, they are happy that you are performing the work, and you will be blessed for it. I have always felt the presence of The Lord when I am at the temple and I have always felt the presence of those who I'm doing work for but my grandma's always hit me like none other. She was there at every soccer game, concert, church activity, everyday until I was 9! I have to say when we were in the sealing room doing the sealing ordinances, I haven't been in a sealing room since I was sealed to my parents, I told my mom that I can't remember when I was sealed to her or dad but she said why not you were in the same room. It is beyond amazing to know that I was sealed to my parents in the same room that my grandma was sealed to her husband and her parents. I am so grateful for the ordinances we do in the temple and the knowledge we have as LDS members to know that families can be for eternity. Not until death but for eternity.
My testimony has grown so much just for an 8 hour stay in the temple doing the work of The Lord.

My grandma has waited but doesn't need to any more
