Passport...Visa...DONE!

Wow, What a day. So with being called to a foreign mission I have had to get a new passport(mine expired) and a visa. Can you say EXPENSIVE!! Well I am on the right track so I've been told. I waited 3 days to get my passport all taken care of and when my visa application I was straight on it.

Today was the day that everything was completed! I went to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration office in Norfolk today to get my fingerprints taken and everything. I have to say I have never been asked to take all of my items out of my pockets, asked if i was wearing a belt, had a belly ring! unless i was in an airport but nope i was just at immigration! the guy there was very friendly and was asking all these questions about why i was going to england. it was the perfect missionary opportunity. then they took my picture...NO SMILING:( i looked into the camera with no smile and they started to LAUGH! they were like you look so mean! i KNOW its ugly, ITS A FLIPPING MUG SHOT!!! they got a good laugh at that. when i saw that i was at the immigration building i posted this status on facebook and i have to say it is very true!!
"So I have never thought of myself as an immigrant until now... At the immigration office for my visa to go to England. I guess I would be considered an immigrant to them. But atleast a legal one. Hahah"
I am so happy to be an immigrant:) i know the people of england who have strong negative opinions on what i will be doing will feel that way. but i can get a kick out of it cant i. hey its not like im illegal:)

after immigration i went to walgreens to get my final photo taken the one for my visa. and there was another missionary opportunity. the lady was asking if i was going anywhere cool and i told her heck yes im moving to england for 18 months. when i say that they always ask "deployment?" ha. no im not in the military but im serving a mission for my church.  i am so grateful for the little missionary moments that i have that i can share just a tad about the church to random people. maybe down the road because of my seed that i planted in their hearts they will come to the church and ask more questions.

I am so excited to serve a mission and i am one step closer! Visa is done now just need to wait for it to come in:)
